Cancer Coping Center Collaborates with the La Jolla Institute for Molecular Medicine
LA JOLLA, Calif., Sept. 21, 2006 - The Cancer Coping Center in collaboration with the La Jolla Institute for Molecular Medicine and the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC) San Diego Chapter held an Innovations in Women's Health Research conference on "Ovarian Cancer: The Silent Killer." The keynote speaker was Dr. Barbara Goff, Professor and Director, Gynecologic Oncology, University of Washington.

SAN DIEGO, Calif., Sept. 19, 2006 - The San Diego Metropolitan Magazine awarded Dr. Maryam Davodi Far the prestigious 40 Under Forty 2006 Award at the 7th Annual Award Luncheon at the San Diego Convention Center. San Diego Metropolitan's 40 Under Forty 2006 Award recognizes 40 of the brightest young professionals, executives, entrepreneurs and civic leaders in San Diego County, who are under 40 years old, for their career triumphs and community contributions.

KGTV 10News Honors Dr. Maryam Davodi Far with the 10News Leadership Award
SAN DIEGO, Calif., Feb. 9, 2006 - Dr. Maryam Davodi Far, the Executive Director for the Cancer Coping Center, received the 10News Leadership Award for her work to alleviate the suffering of those touched by cancer. Through her leadership the Cancer Coping Center serves to improve the quality of life for cancer patients, their families and caregivers. The 10News Leadership Award is a project of LEAD San Diego, 10News and Sempra Energy. This award honors those who provide "leadership in making San Diego a better place to live, especially by standing up for those who need help, to improve their quality of life."
